ROMARE BEARDEN

Romare Bearden (American, 1914-1988) is one of the greatest and best-known African-American artists.  He is recognized for his portrayal of black Americans in his paintings and prints, and has been widely exhibited in major museums.  Our prints have been shown in a recent Bearden print retrospective that traveled to 24 American museums.
