Original 1979 watercolor & gouache. Acquired directly from the artist and accompanied by a photograph signed and authenticated by Nanette Bearden, the artist's wife. Exhibited at the Bayly Art Museum, "Romare Bearden (1911-1988) The Print: The Source," Jan.26-Mar.24, 1996, also Jerald Melberg Galleries, "Romare Bearden," Nov.18,1995-Jan.6,1996, Charlotte, North Carolina. Romare Bearden received many honors for his lifetime of work including the National Medal of the Arts, North Carolina Medal of the State and the Frederick Douglas Medal. Professionally matted in silk with a gold leaf frame. Letter of Authenticity included.
